WHat? Again
I will use anything as long as it works. For anyone who loves wood work, you simply use whatever you have access to to make the best project you can. Some like one brand of tool others like another...For example, I have a Hitachi router and an Ozito router, is one better than the other? I don't care!!! one is excellent in the table, the other is excellent for doing edges, lettering and fluting on the lathe. I just use which ever one will do the best for the task I am doing because that is what I have got.
Well computers are just the same....expensive tools that some like to use to annoy everyone else with instead of using them to do something beneficial. I am happy to spend my time USING a computer to do my work and share what I pick up with people who would appreciate my help.
Woodwork for me!

Postings from what i perceive as a number of hard core "woodies" in this forum about such an inane topic suggests they have nothing to do, or a lack of activity else where on the forum, or . . . .
My excuse is I have the flu and propped up in bed with my laptop and I'm bored . . . . .

PS I use Firefox as my main browser but also use Opera, IE, Safari, Nertscape and Mozilla mainly to check how web site and changes run in these browsers (yes there is a difference).
My preference is for Firefox, I would use Opera as my first choice but don't because of a conflict with WYSIWYG on the forums.KEEP A LID ON THE GARBAGE... Report spam, scams, and inappropriate posts, PMs and Blogs.

A very intertesting subject, but one I think I may refrain from in the future.
Have a great day!

But will make what I am looking at better.

Hey Ron!
I am also on a community development committee based in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Two projects I personally have instigated are -
1 - A community based woodworking workshop (not just a men’s shed) for anyone and everyone including women, and young people, people of all ages and types.
2 - A very cheap ISP service for people on disability support pension, aged pension, and widow pension cards (and maybe others who are disadvantaged) who cannot afford broadband connection. It will be Apple server based of course.

Safari for everyone
If anyone wants to try Safari on their Windoze machine can get a free copy here (a 39mb download) -

But if you are going to go to Safari, be aware it has its own security issues.
In particular, allowing a website to download files without being prompted and to steal local files. (OSX & Windows)
It might be of interest to Safari users, especially because Apple aren't looking to fix 2 of the 3 with any urgency.
