bios advice needed
I let myself get dragged into an MSI motherboard upgrade and it told me there was a bios patch available. (bios update CPU module 3.A0)
So I tried.
Now when I boot up I get a drive error message.
CMOS checksum bad.
Press F1 to run set up, which I do.
Press F2 to load default, (nothing happens)
Bios comes up and to proceed I Press Esc. and then accept OK (use Enter)
Can anyone please tell me how to proceed otherwise I shall have to go to the doctor again?woody U.K.

I wish you good luck...my last BIOS flash (where I accidentally used the wrong BIOS) was less than a resounding success, and that was on a twin BIOS motherboard.
The 'wrong' BIOS just worked well enough to fool the controller chip that it was working correctly...so it wouldn't fail over to the good one. I ended up cutting the power connections on the stuffed BIOS chip to get rid of it.
Have a look on the MSI site for BIOS recovery - often there are tools or techniques for recovering from a stuffed flash.
Since my attempt, I have run on the 'if you don't have a problem, leave it alone' approach for the BIOS!

Yeh, I should have used that principle as well.
