Ditto here.

I have a billion 7404 box which cost me $199.00 from mynetfone.

As well as a VOIP box, It is also an adsl 2+ modem, and wireless unit. I am with PennyTel and pay $18.95 per month, which gets me unlimited national and local calls for nothing, untimed, no connection or any other fee. I get 500 minutes of calls to mobiles for free as well. I used to have a phone bill of over $300.00 per month. This is due to my kids being at University... far far away and long phone calls (home sick), and my wifes family living interstate. My phone bill is now $18.95 Pennytel + $19.95 connection with Telstra home line basic per month.

Saves me about $3200.00 per anum.
Very happy chappy!!
I am also connected to Mynetfone on thier $0.00 per month plan. I have my phone set to divert to mynetfone, if Penntel are down for any reason. This gets me 14cents non timed national calls as a backup. I have been on this setup for a while now, and have zero problems, and actually look forward to the monthly bill. Every time the bill is due, I make a point of reminding my wife, just how lucky she is to have me!

There are also other advantages with VOIP. I bought another DID (phone number) for my service. This costs me $5.00 per anum. The number I bought is situated in the city where my eldest daughter is studying. This enables her to call me on this number, and all it costs her is a local call.

Sometimes the oldies are smarter than the young ones when it comes to IT.
