Cleaning up bookmarks
After years of adding them and migrating to new browsers importing them, the BM list was a comprehensive mess. All 1271 of them.
I did some basic cleaning up by consolidating folders but there was still a heap of duplicates and dead links.
Ran this free program and it worked well: AM-DeadLink - Software to detect dead links in browser bookmarks and HTML files. Download FavIcons. Down to 792 bookmarks.
No linkCheers, Ern

I just export mine to a file every now and then and save that. Any links I actually use, rather than the ones I might use one day, I can go and find.
Cheers, Richard

Hmm.
I put my regulars on a toolbar.
Can open a BM list in a new browser window and search that if needed.
Am using Chrome with a Google account so the BMs sync. across various machines automatically and that helps.Cheers, Ern
