Converting VHS to MP4
Hei Folks,
Can someone tell me what I need in terms of hardware and software to convert a VHS video to MP4.
Obviously the quality will not be great, but this is an impossible to get aussie movie so a VHS quality MP4 is better than nothing at all.
Cheers
Paul

In order of easiness...
Go to torrent site. Find movie. Torrent it. Job done.
OR
Check your computer's video card - it might have some analogue ports; if not, a USB dongle to do that job should cost under $20 (read that as "under $100" if you only shop at Harvey Norman or Dick Smith).
For example (and not a specific recommendation) Convert VCR VHS Video Tapes to Computer PC Record DVD CD MP3 Capture Card | eBay

I do more torrent downloading than I''ll admit publicly (you learn stuff in two years working tech support for an ISP) and this movie is not available on any of the sites (mainly invite only membership sites) I use.
That said, the movie is an aussie one called Rikky & Pete starring Nina Landis and Steven Kearney, if you happen to have seen it on a torrent site, a PM would much appreciated.
Cheers

This *might* be an option.

Don't know if they ship here or if you have a region 1 player.
The title sounded familiar so I went searching. Only remember the car and the horse.
