    Default Final Cut Express

I upgraded to Final Cut Express because iMovie seemed a backward step from Sony Vegas.

I just get used to one program and have to learn how to use another???

After a few days checking the tutorials and having a practice on a short video the program wont open.

Can someone tell what is the problem please?

Last night I deleted the program then reinstalled it. Still wont open.

When I select the program it start to open - runs through some initialising - them closes.

I have moved my video stuff onto a seperate external drive to save space on the little Air drive.
I will need to work out how to tell FCX where to look and where to save everything - but I can't even get it to open.

    Cheers

    Hi there

Take a look in the application error logs. There might be a clue in there.

    Easy.

Start->Right Click on My Computer->Manage - an application will appear.

Expand Event Viewer then select Application.

Do all this immediately after you try and start your application and then you should see an error or warning in there, explaining what the problem is.

It's not a bad idea to go through all the logs every now and then.
