FLV files to TV
I have downloaded a number of FLV files off Youtube. I would like to watch these on TV. There are some FLV converters that will do this but they take up a lot of room on a standard dvd. Is there a program that will convert FLV so that it plays on TV and is able to condense them down a bit so I don't need a number of dvds. Maybe FLV is not the best format for Youtube - other alternatives?

Already been covered, do a search. I use nero 9, takes flv and converts directly to dvd. In theory you can get 2 hours on a dvd at TV quality. Nero allows me to shrink the quality to get more or enhance it to get less.
Oh, and technically downloading video from youtube is a violation of the terms of use. Don't blame me if you get sued.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

Try this it will download your dvd from youtube and save it as a WMP file so you can copy it to a dvd to play on your dvd player.
Relating to the download rules, technically you are downloading a dvd when you play it on your web browser even though the browser deletes it after playing, you have still downloaded the video, so maybe a grey area. Downloading the dvds may or may not be a violation but copying them and putting them on disc to distribute could be another matter.Reality is no background music.
