Freeware Club Membership database
Hi!
I am looking for a simple club membership database. Must be Freeware.
The basic requirements are Name, Address (including Post code), Telephone Nos, Email address, Membership status (financial or not), Interest group, perhaps partners name, and must be able to print envelope labels.
It is for a Not for profit organisation with less than 50 members that has minimal computer skills available.
If anyone is aware of any free software that would suit please let me know.Russell (aka Mulgabill)

Another option is to build your own within office software if you own such a thing. Not hard to get a freeware office package over the net, or you might have MS Works or Office included in bundled software with the computer.
To set it up, use the spreadsheet for a database by setting a column label in the top row of each column, and a row for each member's details.
Use the wordproccessor merge system to set up the labels and/or envelopes etc, plus personalised letters/forms etc if needed.
Disadvantages
a little more work/knowledge required to set up.
Advantages
suitable software base available for a variety of platforms as freeware or bundled licenced software.
totally customisable for labels available and requirements for specific task.

Thanks Guys for the replies!
It looks like I will have to resort to MS Hacksess to get something out. There does not seem to be and suitable freeware that I can locate.Russell (aka Mulgabill)

The membership database mentioned by splinter only needs OpenOffice which runs on windows and is free.
