Help please.
I have posted a message in the photography section about this issue but it is worth trying here too.
I am involved in a court case with a fellow who owes us money.
I downloaded some Google Earth photos, aerial and street views, that this fellow derided in front of the
judge as not showing anything clearly. This is crap but I still have the same problem after the judge did
nothing about these remarks.
What I am after is someone who can enhance the photos so the evidence is clear enough for Blind Freddy.
Anyone got any suggestions or able to help?? Many thanks!!

Rather than messing about with low resolution Google maps what about seeing if nearmap already has these available.
It may cost you a few bob but their stuff is at much higher res than the google stuff.
The nearmap images are also timestamped

+1 for what Bob wrote. Nearmap is the ants pants for that sorta stuff and they're up to date unlike Google which is probably 2-3 years out of date.

local council
You could ask the planning people at your local council if they use NearMap. They may be willing to print a picture for you.

Thanks folks.
Been in touch with Nearmap. They replied and said they will get in touch shortly.
Thought about the council last night and rang them this morning. $34.oo per photo!!!

$34 per image is not too bad really, - cost of acquisition, labour in supply, printing the image itself etc. The Google Maps images for Dundowran Bch are also pretty good for a consumer product?
Nearmaps coverage map shows some cover for your region - http://www.nearmap.com/Nearmap/media...l-Sep-2013.pdf
Go to Queensland Atlas - Department of Natural Resources and Mines , Queensland zoom/pan to your location then select the "Satellite" in top RHS. Their image may be helpful.
Evidentiary images in court proceedings require authentication of the date, time, origin, custody and fidelity of the image. Depending upon the nature of the case the standard of "proof" may be quite high. http://www.nifs.com.au/2004%20Digita...Guidelines.pdf Similar standards apply to aerial images. So manipulating / enhancing a "consumer product" image is hardly going to solve your issue.
Google images are highly manipulated, best to go to the source image which will cost & in this instance is most likely Aerometrex. DERM in Qld is a typical source of aerial images and a good starting point as is your local council Aerial photography (Department of Environment and Resource Management)
Images for a location are taken for various purposes (scale/resolution) and at varying intervals (i.e. 2013, 2000, 1995 etc) so depending upon the nature of what you want the image to show you may locate several images which may also show a historical timeline. Google Earth (not Google Maps) also does this to an extent.
Other potential specialist sources include Schlenker Mapping, QASCO, AAMGroup, Aerometrex etc

Thanks Moby. some good sources there.
The Images I want are not for Dundowran Beach but for Regents Park ( Browns Plains area).
I have dates on the Google Earth material so that is not a worry. Perhaps the beak will allow
us to use the computer. We were not given any directions by the adjudicator magistrate) about
photographic evidence so We may be OK.
The Logan City council gave me a list of dates for which they have aerial photos of the property in question.
I will spend the money on a train fare (pensioner's rates ) and pay them a visit before I decide if the images are helpful.
