Download and install Open Office. It is free and works better than MS. It also runs Word files.

John,
In mail go into Tools..then Options.. then Mail Format..then Fonts and make sure you haven't set a bold format.

John,
Can you post a screenshot please? Press print screen on the top right of your keyboard, then open paint and go to the edit menu and chose paste. Then save it and attach it like normal here. This should help us understand the issue a little better.
When you say bold, it could be a number of things, especially if the little B icon isn't showing as selected - a larger than normal zoom setting may make it appear bold onscreen when it's not for example.
Also try printing for us - does the text print in bold or is it normal?
Cheers
Andrew

help with typing
sorry to be a pain in the A but I cannot attatch the copy I have on the desk top
to this post. I have clicked and opened every thing I can see to no avail. All the typing in my email is in bold, I click the B and it makes it more bold. It only applies to my sending emails and receiving a reply. Strangly it does the same in the Google search bar. All other applications I use for typing are normal, IE word pad Microsoft Word etc.
thank You

Hi John
Down the bottom when you add a new post is a manage attachments button. If you click that it pops up another window. Click the top 'choose file' button then click upload, type your post then we should see it.
Unfortuantly without seeing it happening it could be any number of things
If this doesn't work I'll try and arrange a time to remote to your pc and help you
Cheers

I'm using Outlook 2007, so the path may be different in your version. However, I think you need to look at your 'stationary' settings. In my version the path is Tools-> Options-> Mail Format-> Stationary and Fonts.
Once you are there, check the 3 Font settings.Chris

I think John's problem is in word, not outlook. John can you confirm please?
Cheers
