Thread: I think Kryn's been hacked... anyone have his number?

Kryn (KBs pensNmore) and I send each other funnies by Email almost daily but I haven't received one from him in couple of days. What I did get yesterday however was a random Email asking "for a favour". Initially I just replied with a "sure what's up?", but then checked the email address; he normally uses a yahoo address and that's how the mail was received BUT the reply went to a gmail address.

So; I wrote to his normal email asking if he had two email accounts. Shortly afterwards I received an answer in the original email thread with "scammer" written all over it; in it "he" explained that he was out of town and trying to buy a GOOGLE PLAY GIFT CARD (his capitalisation, not mine) for a sick friend; could I buy one on his behalf etc etc.

My initial thoughts were that I'd been phished; however later on I received an email from his normal yahoo account in response to my "do you have two addresses" query; the word-for-word reply was "Am the one that email, you."

All the communication so far has been in that slightly tainted "English is not being my first tongue" that is prevalent in Indian & Asian scammers; what's really concerning me though is the fact that this is coming from a known and trusted email address and that other than these very suspicious emails I've not heard a peep from him since Thursday/Friday.

So; does anybody have a phone contact for him? And is happy to try to contact him as I understand he might not want his phone number passed on?

I have PM'd him through the forum too but no reply as yet.
