Chris Parks sent me a link for a Logitech t650 Touchpad, and as soon as I watched the video (Chris can you post the link - I deleted it i think) I could see what a great idea it was. I immediately ordered one from ebay for $65 posted:
Logitech T650 Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad NEW Sealed | eBay

I've had it for a couple of days now, and they are FABULOUS! I set it up for left hand use, so i have touchpad, keyboard in the centre and Wacom Tablet on the right. This set up just rocks! Scrolling around the internet with the touchpad is super-efficient. Left hand does the scroll up and down, and the swipe to go back or forward, and the right hand does the selecting with the pen on the tablet. I do use the left hand for some selections, particularly if the pointer is near what I want to select.

Like everything there's a small learning curve and the motor skills get refined more and more. Particularly in my case because I'm forcing my left hand to learn it.

Apparently they do work on Macs as well, but Logitec have a dedicated version for Macs (t651 I think) for ~$100 on ebay. Or you could pay Apple double that for their proprietary brand one.....

FenceFurniture, is there any chance you could do a benchmark test on your computer using this software? https://www.passmark.com/products/pt.htm
If you do it make sure you are in some sort of performance mode.

I am curios to see if it would be worthwhile for me to upgrade to something like yours or go to a budget/mid level desktop for a bit of video editing.
