A lot of preloaded computers are coming out absolutely load with unnecessary stuff that just makes the computer slow.
Toshiba & HP are both offenders when it comes to preloaded rubbish.Cliff.

I recently bought a Lenovo Flex 10 to replace my old ASUS eeePC. Both vendors preload lots of bloatware whatever the OS is. The Flex 10 was my first Windows 8 machine and to be honest coming to terms with the initial Win8 startup was a pretty bad experience courtesy of MS (not Lenovo's fault) but given Lenovo included zero OS introductory documentation and Win8 thinks I want to use a laptop like a smart phone, what would you expect? Turn it on and I was first off virtually forced down the route of creating an intrusive MS account with no obvious way to initialize the netbook with just a simple local account.
I didn't keep track of all the bloatware as I set about removing it, but there were various 'productivity' apps included that didn't seem as good as the public domain tools I am comfortable using already for the functionality I know I want to use, and that I know to be consistent across a variety of platforms I use whereas the Lenovo apps were probably OS limited. Aside from the Lenovo specials, there were various other pre installed trialwares and 'cloud' apps for things I didn't want to use and that were just plain annoying.
In Lenovo's defence I do acknowledge that at least some of the bloatware seemed to be addressing shortcomings in Windows 8 for users who would rather use more ergonomically efficient interfaces such as a start menu (e.g. a preinstalled POKKI interface). However there do seem to be other standard Windows tweaks that achieve much the same effect without requiring the installation of extra background processes and bloat services. Perhaps including some Windows8 education instead of bloatware would be more effective.
