what does this message mean
Win 7
I keep getting the following message.
Your profile cannot be used because it is from a new version of google chrome
Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory or use a newer version of chrome.
Although it tells me I am already using a newer version ????
How do I fix to get rid of this annoying message
Thanks

Hidden folders
Hi
You need to show hidden folders
open control panel (show all items)
open folder options
click on View
then click show hidden folders
this wil show the folder you want

Macklin,
The next directory level down from "User" will be your user name and not "username" So whatever you user name for you PC is e.g. "macklin".
Also, further down that link I gave you is this comment..
"For those who are unable to find "Appdata" it is probably hidden. To unhide, open Windows Explorer select "Organize" (upper left) then "Folder and Search Options" then the "View" tab then the show hidden folder radio button."

This is getting harder.
Maklin, by doing what you have done you have allowed Explorer to show you hidden folders.
You need to go back into Explorer and see if you can navigate to the folders below "User"

Open Windows Explorer
Change defaults and views, to show list, and to show hidden files, and to show full directory.
then, browse to:
c:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Web Data
Delete the Web Data folder.
Close Windows Explorer and then Open Chrome.Should be back to normal and working okay.Reality is no background music.
Cheers John
