Outlook 2003 - Link no worky
Morning
For the past few months I have been unable to click on a hyperlink in emails. No idea why he just no worky now.
Have searched the MSN help pages, asked old people as they walk past, even the dog doesnt know why. Tried "rules" but no help.
Running Vista and Microsoft Outlook 2003.
Any suggestions, other than get a Mac
cheers

In Outlook, go to Tools, Options, Security, & select Internet.
Now see what it is set for.... mine is currently se for Medium-High.
Have a look at the custome setings & see if there is something in there that is set to Disable that looks like it may have something to do will opening web pages from within an e-mail.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Him Worky now
Had to reset the custom settings .
On another note, with XP I would reinstall every six months or so to keep it running sweet. Is this something to do for Vista

I've had XP running daily on this machine for 4 years or so, never been re-installed, runs sweet as....I do a bit of housekeeping occasionally, clean out unwanted files, get a free registry cleaner and use it 6-12 mths, anti-virus, firewall, spyware, etc, occasional defrag, you should have no problems. Make sure you have some free space on your harddrive, (get a bigger one if nec.)....

dazzler, turn on windows updates so you automatically get patches and fixes; install service pack 1; and you'll not have to do anything else.

Same here. I did an upgrade from Windows 98 many years ago. Since then I have not had to reinstall at all really. I have changed hard drives and simply imaged it onto the new drive. I have changed motherboards and processors and had to reinstall new drivers. It's never been completely reinstalled though, and it wasn't even a clean install when I went from win 98.
PeterThe other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Another way is to use a different mailing program............. I use Barca...... This is similar in many ways to outlook but without all the baggage......... It has calendars, diary, random message generator etc!.......... Made by Pocosystems............. Dunno if that's what you want but it might be worth a look!
Catch ya later,
Peter B.
