Quickbooks 08 09 Bugs Bugs Bugs me!
Hi all fellow wood workers, I own & run a small building company in North western Sydney. We have 4 employees and we aim for big extensions and strive for top quality work. Myself being the carpenter, supervisor and draftsman takes a lot of time, my wife helps me with the book work. I am leaving this post to hopefully get some advice and to also maybe save you guys from the same mistakes that I have made.... We have been using quickbooks for the last 5 years and it has been pretty damn good, this year we upgarded to Quickbooks 08 09 premier which apparently uses a new method of coalating the data. I am not sure if its just me but I have found more bugs than a plague of locusts, the limited time I get to do the book work has now gone from 4 hrs per week up to 10 hours per week. I have decided to go back to the 07 08 version at a loss of around a thousand dollars never mind the time lost talking to tech support in INDIA, being on hold and getting transfured from 1 department to the other. As most of you would know small busines is no easy task and when you add the complications above; my brown hair is turning grey quicker than I can invoice my customers. If anyone can lend an opinion or another method of acount keeping it wont fall on def ears.[/quote]

Actually, ask your accountant what HE wants you to use. The word gets around pretty quick in the CPA field, and if Quick Books, MYOB or whatever puts out a lemon, these guys will know about it.
From a course I did, most of them have their own preferred setup and just use filters to import your data files, have the book keeper check it over & only then is it placed before their august presence for a quick scan & initials.
