Where Do I Find The Search Box
Hi,
I am seeking help once again in that I cannot find the search box that should appear on the menu list (I don't know what the real name is?) I have Vista as my operating system and as you will see below I have attached an image to show you what I do have It will be easier to see all of the image (larger) by clicking on the image...
So it would be much appreciated if you could help me as it is very frustrating not being able to SEARCH for something.
Thanking those in advance for their replies.
Regards
MH

Hi DJ thanks for the quick reply. However that X you noticed isn't my compter interface but an article telling me where to find the search box. As a result I have modified the image, so hopefully I won't mislead others. Double click on the image if you want to see it larger!!

Or install Classic Shell - works really well on Windows 8.1, too (haven't seen Metro at all).

OK, all I can say is that your operating system must have been modified somehow, as my Vista puter and every other one that I've laid eyes on has it at the left bottom corner after clicking on the Windows Start Icon as shown in the attached image and yes that is my face and username at the top.

Oh and in case it isn't obvious, you can single click to open in a lightbox or doubleclick to open in a new screen.Cheers

If you Google the problem you may find that Service Pack 1 is the culprit and there a number of fixes offered, Try this one - http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/14...after-sp1.html
