    Default Something stopped working

Overnight my computer has started doing something different.
I will try as best I can to describe the situation.
In the past when I connected my camera via USB cable to the computer I would hear a "bonk bonk" sound and the camera logo would appear in the R/H/S on the taskbar. It's the little black dot next the the little blue square.

I would then click on the camera icon and the following window would open.

I then click on the Bridge icon and Adobe Bridge Downloader would open and I would download my photos.

Now what is happening is that I hear the "bonk bonk" sound, but the icon does not appear on the task bar.
To get the icon to appear on the task bar I have to open the Devices and Printers window and double click the camera icon.

I have tried both my cameras and different cables and both USB ports on the PC.

I reset Autoplay to default settings and still the icon does not appear on the taskbar when switching on the camera.

Maybe connected, maybe not, why are there 3 EOS 7D and 2 EOS 100D in the autoplay?

I suspect the duplicates are from using different USB ports - I've had that with some devices previously where according to Windows the "device" is both a combination of the port and the device, so a different port = a new device to Windows. Go into Device Manager and see if there are also duplicates in there.

If just the one camera device in Device Manager then go into Properties and reinstall the drivers, or completely uninstall and reinstall from the ZIP/EXE you downloaded or the CD if that's what it's on.

Thanks mate, that's what my research has indicated.

At the suggestion from a friend I downloaded and ran Malwarebytes. It picked up 29 "problems" which I removed, I then shutdown and restarted my PC. The problem is still there, so I temporarily disabled AVG Free and tried again, no luck.

I have also noticed that plugging in my iPod no longer starts iTunes even though the start iTunes when iPod connected box is checked. The Autoplay window opens, but that is all.
