    Default Tankstand needs Excel help

    Hello Everyone,

I have need of your collective talents.

I have attached an example of what I am trying to do, which is basically asking for the higher of two cells values to show in another cell and the lower in the other. Hopefully the text in my spreadsheet clarifies things.

I am running Office 2007 and the default format of *.xlsx is not able to be uploaded here! I had to save as *.xls!

    Thanks,

    Mark.

    G'day Mark,
I've tried a few times, and can't open your attachment.
I'll close down then try again.

Restarted & got the attachment..the logic seems feasible to me......but then again....
I'll not comment further until someone cleverer than I, solves your task.

    Default Excel Help

    Hi

An easier way is to put a formula like:
    =MAX(L7, L8)
in the cell where you want the maximum
    =Min(L7, L8)
in the cell where you want the minimum

A Huge thankyou to Kev and Andrew!

    Both ways work,

I nearly got there with the "IF" method.

    I love this forum!
