    Default Unable to source software

I have been trying to source a retail version of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise 32 bit edition, but am drawing a blank. All I can find so far, is OEM versions. I cannot ue the 2008 version, as the main application on the server doesn't support it. OEM version is not an option, as the company would be in breach of Microsoft licensing if they install it.

Can anyone suggest a source? I have been googling for hours, and every hit so far, has oem in the fine print. Microsoft only list 3 resellers in Australia, and I have tried them all.

Try some of the second hand computer places - they might have some floating around - I've seen various flavours at the computer fairs.

And I think you can get the 2003 edition as a freebie download for running in a virtual environment on 2008 (not sure on that, though).

Is it available as a 'downgrade' licence option for 2008?

Or just tell your client that 2003 is end of life and not available any more, tough luck, Microsoft doesn't care that your key piece of software wont work - so it's a perfect opportunity to move to Linux!

You are correct, I have to buy 2008 and downgrade it. Not sure of how this works, and searching the microsoft site for information is B$#$#$# awful. I'll get onto one of the tech forums, and find out the requirements.
