I am on several forums & I agree that it would be good if the usernames could be standard.
Some allow a space, some don't, some don't allow special characters, some only allow certain special characters.
I can get by with about 5, Cliff Rogers, cliffrogers, cliffrogersau, cliff_rogers, & cliff.rogers these are all fairly easy to remember.
I usually get FF to remember them for the forums on my home computer.

For passwords I use a handful of combinations of obscure street, suburb, names & lot or rural or phone numbers.
None of it can be looked up 'cos it is just stuff I remember from the past.
For instance the party line phone number of my parents place before automated exchanges was Arrilalah 9K.
That one is a beauty 'cos there is nothing there any more, the exchange is gone, the whole town is gone.
    Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

If I have to change passwords every 60 days like on work machine.
I choose a song, Currently, waltzing mathilda.

All the passwords come out of that , just choose the next major word, so jumbuck, billabong, coolabah, squatter etc.
That way if I forget I just go thru the words and find it eventually.

I just use two short words separated by one or more punctuation characters. If the password rule requires a number then it goes on the end. The words used relate to the subject matter.

e.g. wood@work2 would work for this forum (no, it's not my password)
