Default WARNING - Lumberjocks hacked & using PMs to send malware links

I got a PM notification from Lumberjocks today from a user purporting to be providing access to a "master craftsman" and has a lik for more info.

If you get something like this DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

    Just delete the messages

Also you should change your Lumberjocks password immediately - the site & password repository has been compromised.
(You are using different passwords for every site you subscribe to, right?? If you have used the Lumberjocks password elsewhere, change those as well - using DIFFERENT passwords for each site.)

Ross, this has been going on for several months. I get PMs to access his DVD of crap. Delete the email and ignore on the website - LJ has not done much to block him, or he gets around this.

    Regards from Perth

    Hi Derek,

Yes - I've had these as well in the past & ignored them.

    THIS IS DIFFERENT.

The link in this last PM was to a website with a malicious link - not just the guy trying to sell his crapware. Clicking on that link would potentially compromise computer systems due to drive-by malware.

Also, LJ has been hacked & their password repository is now on the dark web (edit: at least according to the malware monitoring on my network; I have not investigated further).

This is what I'm tying to alert people to - not a dodgy DVD.
