    Default web traffic analytics - sites tuorials packages ?

    Could anybody recommend any simple basic web page analytics programs or tutorials ?

    DO they all require that I insert some special code into the HTML for the page

    ie I just want to confirm people are actually visiting the web page where my mum has a house advert so very simple statistics is all thats required.

    The site owner should be able to provide analytics.

    There are freely available page view counters, such as this - http://www.freecounterstat.com/ - just google for page hit counter till you find one you like.

    You can also do it by using a link shortener service (such as goo.gl) as they keep stats, too.
