    Default YouTube Problem

I have a problem I don't understand and hope that someone can solve it for me. I have subscribed to Patrick Sullivan's YT channel and get this when I click on the subscription buttonhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKD...esXAwJfJ72cd3w

When I do a search on YT for him I get this
    https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...an+woodworking

At the last link if I subscribe I get the first link and not the second...Why??

Once you are subscribed you will get notified when he posts a new video. In the first link if you click on videos (just under his name) you can see all the videos he has posted. The last video he posted was 1 month ago.
From the second link, click on his name and it takes you to his YT page (first link)
Those were the droids I was looking for.

NCArcher, be aware that this has changed in the recent (?) past. YT now uses your subscriptions as a means of identifying what you like in order to suggest other videos, and may not show you new videos from that subscribed channel. To be notified you now have to click the bell icon.

I was wondering why I was missing videos from my subscriptions, until I found a video from one of my subscriptions that explained how it now works. A little frustrating.

I now have the opinion that YouTube is no longer browsable due to the signal to noise ratio. I watch the channels I like, or that have been recommended to me by those I trust, and protect my mind by ignoring all else on there.

In my experience, this isn't quite true @Lance.... the bell means you will get EMAILED when a new post goes live, but if you use your "feed" link, https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions, then you can see all activity just from those channels that you subscribe. Otherwise, the "main" page https://www.youtube.com/ certainly does get cluttered from the recommended lists... EDIT: Plus, you should still get alerts in the top bar bell thingy, but I use that less as it seems less reliable than the timeline link above

Tony, I don't see his name just two playlists, click on the playlist link and it goes to an expanded list > click on his name in that list and it returns to the first link. Neither playlist shows anywhere near all the videos in the second link.

ok Chris, here's a couple of other tips.

The first link you gave, this, is a link to an individual channel (ie a content producer). This is where the channel owner can put things they want you to see or YT makes up what it thinks is important (most likes etc - but some algorithm driven).
    But...
If you go to this link, which is the same as clicking the "videos" bold text that is on the channel page, you get the full list of what vids they've published or are currently set to public.

    hope that helps

yeah, ok... so I don't see that when I go to the link you sent....

I wondered if that was because of browser first, but then I thought it might be because it wasn't a channel I subscribed to and you can see in your image it also highlights the channel in your subscription list, so I tried that.

So now I am going back to this is browser related. I'm using Windows, using Edge browser. The above pics are what I see.

If you use the second link I sent you, do you see all the vids?
