    Default Giant bikes and cadence?

Retiring the old Chinese bikes, have served well for 5 years but with much longer rides happening now, they can't take it and my body can't take the poor riding position any more.

We were looking at getting the Giant Cypress (2 or 3) bikes, they seem to fit what we do, mostly paths with very occasional off road (gentle), with rides of 25-40km at a time, any other suggestions?

Also been looking up cadence info but the simplest point eludes me , how do you count it ?

Is it one revolution with one foot or as each foot reaches a point?

Cadance: number of revolutions of the crank per minute.
So count how many times your right foot hits BDC (bottom dead centre) in 1 minute.
Aim for between 80-100 cycles per minute. (most people aim for 90ish)
    All the best

    Thanks

Went with the Cypress 3 cycles, cut 10 mins off a 25km ride on first outing.
