Default Fixing leaks in caravan roof

I have a little job coming up repairing my van roof. Some years back we used flashtack and painted over it---BUT--the flashtack I have has lost its tack .

Any hints as to how to make it tacky enough to stick or will I have to chuck it and buy a new roll.

I would use fibreglass strips to do the job. It always worked on boat decks that leaked.

Another item that may help u along the way is to pick up some caravan sealer. Looks like white silastic and of course is just as friendly.

Comes in ur basic caulking style tube, can buy from caravan repair joints. Was recommended to us when we started out.

Use it all of the time when sealing screw holes in vans.

I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.

From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".
