Default Painting a Canvas Awning Silver

I have an awning on the side on my 4wd. The awning is made from green rip stop canvas. I would like to paint the topside of the awning with a silver reflective paint. Can anyone offer advise as to the type/s of paint/s that maybe available for this purposed. Thanks in advance. Rod

I would leave it as it is. The silver paint is not going to reflect much heat and will create problems by cracking when you roll or fold it

This will allow water to pool and probably flood through the canvas.

To get rid of trapped heat, can you create a gap where it attaches to the vehicle?
