Looks impressive and I wouldn't say no to a drive. But after a trip along some outback bush tracks here in WA it would have lots of scratches from large bushes / low height trees.
Experienced in removing the tree from the furniture

Prefer Simple
Just a Landcruiser ute and a swag will do me, mate.

Many moons ago, late seventies to be exact, the amount of fellas in the middle of nowhere with a tray back Toyota ute with a 44 of diesel fitted with a pump, strapped and chained to one side of the tray against the head board, was unbelievable.
Usually many of them had the then new yellow coloured Engel refrigerator/freezer strapped to the long range tank (the 44 of diesel). On the other side of the tray was their swag rolled up when travelling and unrolled in a matter of 30 seconds of arriving.
I always thought, one day I’ll be doing that, which was going to be a giant leap from then when traveling outback on a motorcycle, sort of didn’t happen. Instead, picked up a slide-on camper for the tray back ute.
But I take your point, simplicity has great advantages.
Getting into your clothes in the morning when it’s bucketing down, is a bit of a challenge though, don’t ask how I know.
Mick.

Them was the good old days, basically follow a track beyond the black stump. I've actually driven on Lake Eyre north near where the Warburton comes in. Seen Bob Mossel's inflatable dinghy (well, what was left of it) and his jerry cans.
