Default Hare & Forbes Sale 10-12 Nov

Just received the brochure for the H&F 3 day sale in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth
They dont print the before and after prices so I dont know if the savings are big

This is me just being a pain.

Would not before and after sale be the same price? Unless prices go up or down after the sale.

    Clint O,
I have just done the exercise - take the brochure and compare with current prices as per H & F's website. Savings are there but of course depends on what you want. For me with a pillar drill the additional savings was about $12 net. Drillit.

    I am with you.

I am also a literalist like you. eg when I go to the doctor and she tells me to strip to the waist, I take off my trousers.

Went in there today to get a airfiltration unit no stock what a suprise advertised in their brochure but they would take a raincheck however not on sale and no difference in price.
Went to Carbatec they had similar unit in stock and cheaper. So bought that one.
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .

I have the motorcycle hoist they are advertising, if I add $31.00 to their price I can purchase the larger and longer 750kg motorcycle hoist.

I had a friend purchase that exact same hoist three weeks ago elsewhere, for $389.00

Have to agree - unless its a specific item you've been wanting for a long time, and have already checked out pricing from various suppliers, the discounts at H&F sale seem to be vanishingly small....

Plus they seem to have a habit of advertising items in a sale that they don't have in stock....been caught that way a couple of times.

IMHO Carbatec seem to have a more "genuine" sale when it comes around.

    Default Great sale, saved heaps

I went out there today and I spent just over $500, and saved about $160 off the normal listed prices. I thought it was great value. I bought:

Three mobile bases reduced from $99 to $69.
two sets of castors (yes I'm putting everything on wheels) reduced from $55 to $39
and some air tools and sundry items at an average of 15% off the normal price.

For those who arent happy with the sale prices, maybe they were not discounting what you wanted whereas they were discounting what I wanted. I'm looking forward to the next one.
