Congratulations Neil and all of the others that are currently or have in the past worked behind the scenes. The forum has certainly been a valuable educational tool for me over a number of years and is one of the few websites that I constantly monitor. Its amazing how much knowledge you can obtain simply by following others experiences. There have been a number of characters come and go over the time, a bit of argie-bargie, but it has just kept things fresh and interesting.

Well done - Im still planning to be around for another 21 years at least!

All the threads should be available for the last 21 years. Just gotta look backwards. Can't say the same for all the graphics that unfortunately disappeared or for all the early members that were chased away by some antagonistic members and the odd over zealous mod or 2.

A very special thanks to you, Neil. In all honesty I don't know how you put up with all the, well you know. You may not realize it but your fair and even handedness with no variance or special privileges to special members is what makes this forum so successful.

Agree with all of the above.

Big congrats to those running the show.

On behalf of myself and the several other usernames I have appeared (and disappeared ) under over the past 17 of the Forum's 21 year history, Thanks to Neil and all the others who have worked behind the scenes and of course to all the great forum members, many of whom are now friends I would never had met if not for this forum.

This place is far better than any facebook group could ever be, but yet people are slowly being drawn away to facebook, where it is impossible to group like material together or even find the post you were looking at the day before. I don't get why they are going there but I hope the forum is robust enough to withstand the pressure for another 21 years at least.
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

I agree, FB as repository for knowledge its complete rubbish but as so many people use it - it's hard to get away from if you want to be in contact with some groups. I encouraged the WA mens shed association to join WWF but they set up a FB page instead so I'm sort of forced to communicate that way but informative is lost in the detritus of time.

Forums of this type still have a lot going for them.

As another old timer thanks Neil for the forum.

I am a relative newcomer to the forums, having joined 13 years ago, so I missed all the action of the formative years, but did send a deal of time checking out the threads going back to the start and did learn a fair bit from them.

Sincere thanks to Neil for the Forums, his family for allowing him the time that has been needed to establish and maintain them, Stephen the computer guru and all of the mods and admins who have devoted a lot of their time over the years to make the Forums the resource that they are. Thanks also to all the other members, without whom the Forum would be a somewhat static and stale place to visit.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

    G'Day Rod, Well said sir..
So many top blokes and ladies on the forum who have helped and encouraged me from day one.
I have learnt so much and hopefully paid it forward as others did for me.

I miss some who have left and some who have passed but to those of us who are still here "THANK YOU" for the contributions.

To Neil, I also say THANK YOU for allowing me all the discretional latitude in my early years as a rule breaker.
I miss the gatherings that Neil sponsored at the Woodwork Shows, they were special times.

I think I've missed out on a piece of the birthday cake coming in a little late to the discussion.
    Cheers crowie
