21st anniversary of the forum
I just wanted to make it known how grateful I am to be a member of this Forum and the spirit under pinning it. No matter what the subject matter someone is handy to give good and solid advice to our questions. AND that advice is given quite quickly so you don't have to wait long. The spirit I referred to is one that blokes who don't even know each other and may live a long way away are happy to loan/give articles to get someone moving forward on a particular project.
I have been on an American site where to get an answer to a problem you might have to wait days or you just don't get and answer.
To Neil and family I would like to say thankyou for this Forum and hope that the issues with running such an enterprise are easily fixed and not giving you a pain in the derry-air.
[I have been a member now since 2009.....where has that time gone???]Just do it!
Kind regards Rod

I wholeheartedly endorse chambezio's comments. Most of us have no idea what goes on in the background to keep this site functioning and even more so when it isn't.
I don't do facebook so this is my contact with the outside world and like facebook don't personally know most members but almost feels like you do.
Thankyou to Neil and all those in the background for the work you do, we really appreciate it and congratulations on 21 years. It's great to have a site that is based in our own backyard so all the content is relevant.Dallas

I add my thanks to Neil and the WWF team. A wonderful virtual shed that I never take for granted!
The members here are not only generous with their advice they also know how to play nice (almost always). So thanks also to all the users who help make the forum a great place to visit and share.

I'm glad someone started the thread.
thanks to all the behind-the-scenes things that go on. It's largely thankless, and while it's largely a labour of love, it's great that you've managed to keep it on the rails (photo-gate was before my time ) and (mostly) G rated in our hostile world.

Hellbells, I was only 67 when I joined, if only the threads from those days were available . John.

Wow. It has been that long?
So... that makes it some 15 odd years of helping me maintain my sanity and putting up with my stoopid questions? What can I say?
Thank you!
(PS. I'd give you the key to the door but for most of this time I've been coming in via Windows. )

Was thinking the same thing. Not as involved as I used to be anymore but still hanging in there. Has always been a useful knowledge bank of members and information. My phone is full of contacts, most start with Forum and Handle, then their real name and details. I'm still in contact with them and call in to visit as I travel around Aus as a Grey Nomad (getting very itchy feet at the moment with COVID).
Well done to the team and all the membersNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

Thanks for the Forum Neil, I know enough about computers and forums to know it must have produced a few grey hairs over the years, but what would we do without it, can't believe I have been here for 15 of those years

Dang, I suddenly feel very old, trying to remember where i first came in contact with this strange crew of weird people from all over that had one passion in life timber. I would guess it was a woodwork expo in Adelaide when I pulled a wife who WAS totally uninterested and 3 scrappy kids, didnt care this was my day. Now wife is into lathe and carving, the kids ..well they will eventually see the error of their ways.
Many names come to mind of those early days where stupid questions were still answered (usually) with respect.
Neil, I honour you for your commitment to this crazy out of hand website
doubt I'll be here in another 21 years, if I am, question from me will be about walking sticks, timber zimmer frames and timber chamber pots.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Everyone else has said it all, the best bit of all is generally how friendly the members are in this forum. The number of our American friends joining indicates that.
Thanks and best wishes to the whole team.
Rgds,
Crocy.
