They've sold out of these at Ringwood, anyone know whether they're available at other stores?

Maybe you shoudl call them before you make your way. South Melbourne shop is not that far away from Prahran and you may want to give them a bell as well.

I don't think they give out that sort of information. I have tried to find phone numbers on the ALDI site without success.

Hey Grommett, I guess it would be ok for sanding edges, but what about sanding that other "stuff"?

Sold out in city store, chadstone and ringwood. Anyone know whether the belt/disc sander is available in any other stores that I can get to (mainly eastern suburbs/south eastern suburbs)?

    Default Aldi crazy tool prices

I picked up a set of the hole saws for $20.00.
A plumber was working at my place and he reckons the arbours themselves are worth well over the $20 that he paid for his set when he bought them.
I haven't used them yet, but my last set got "burned out" when I tried to cut holes in cement sheet (lots of sparks and a red glow!) - just about managed before they gave up the ghost.
Forgive my ignorance, but one of the arbours in the set (there are 2) has a hexagonal head and 2 lugs that come down and locate into the top of the hole cutter blade. How do I drive that hex head? I've only ever used a normal electric drill chuck before, so how do I drive the hex head version?
    Cheers
    Greg

if it's what I think it is, just use it in your normal chuck (ie just put it in your drill as per normal). If it's something else, whatever you do, don't do that
    cheers

Default Compressed air stuff this week

Couldn't quite get to this before now but there's an array of air tools and a compressor on from today. I purchased the 30 litre 1500w compressor ($119), Air Drill ($25, and weighs at least that much), Air Chisel Set ($15), 15m High Pressure hose ($15) and a litre of Metal Care Paint ($7).

If weight is anything to go by, then the Compressor should be a beauty. My only regret is that they didn't have any Air Guitars (I'm already a legend in my own mind, leaving Page and Blackmore for dead - with compressed air I'd even rival Fripp).

I reckon the $89 Shop Vacs should be back at any tick of the clock. In previous years (3) the have been on sale during May. I wonder if they'll be cheaper this year? Many other things have been.

NEXT WEEK: Not much at all for woodies, but the Oil Heater might be just the thing for the Barn (no bairns in the barn) if it's effective. I think any kind of glowing radiator is right out, air blowers are pretty useless, and reverse cycle AC is out of the question. Does anyone have thoughts on these Oil Heaters? I used one in a previous life and it didn't seem very effective.

I'm trying to think of a use in the Barn for this Heated Clothes Airer. What about faster drying of painted/Shellaced/et al pieces in cold weather (abundant up here)?
