Could be there on Friday Peter.

"If a man is after money, he's money mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a never-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Will put some pictures on tonight but went for a drive in the country thismorning to the Artisans Retreat wood extravaganza. Had a short chat with Peter but he was a busy man. He was turning some great little Huon bowls, the local Manning club on there carving stand, fretwork/scroll saws, pyro work, guitars, green wood turning with a pole lathe etc from Rare Chairs of Moonan Brook.
Trend Timbers there with a good assortment of carving tools, turning tools, Ubeat products (bought a few home) Moggy tools with his sand paper, rasps etc etc
Artisans Retreat gallery and cafe is all very nice too and well worth a drive if you are anywhere within cooee. Peter is hopeing (at this stage) that it will grow and be bigger next year but I was happy with my drive in the country and a bit of retail therapy.
Had a sausage sanger and motored home.

Ok, few shots of the happenings, did meet BobR in the car park but then missed catching up once I was inside. I arrived a little after 10.00 and it was already starting to get busy. There was a bus load of kids but they were all well behaved and very interested in what Peter had happening.

Many thanks Claw!
Sorry we didn't get a chance to sit & have a decent chat while you were here.
Love the pics - I didn't get much of a chance to take some myself - grabbed a few quick shots on Friday but that was it. Do you mind if I use some of your pics on website etc?
Had a few people turn up on Sunday - so they checked out the gallery, had coffee & went on their way!
Already planning for Artisans Expo next year - taking on board some very constructive comments collected over the 2 days this year.
Now to get the shed back into work mode & get stuck into some production!
For those who would like to say hi to me - I will be at Trend Open Days on Fri 18th & Sat 19th March.
See you there!
Cheers
