Default Just for information of the forum software guru

Might be just a glitch at my end, but I tried - and succeeded, worked very smoothly! - doing a "Buy it now with PayPal" transaction but n my return got an error message:
Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

    Steve & Neil!
It is looking good so far. I have put one Auction up and will see how it goes.
One suggestion is to have a link on the Action page back to the Rules and Conditions so users do not have to jump out of the Auction page to find them.

What is wrong or what am I doing wrong?
Pleaese try DJ's suggestions or logon without tapatalk and if it doesn't work scroll down to the very bottom of the home page and change the Style setting to Default Mobile Style and the Auctions can be found listed as Market Place as the lads forum under the Woodworking Forums - General banner this will be shifted and possibly renamed soon.

PayPay will only work if the buyer has entered a PayPal account and it doesn't have any typo's in the PayPal address entered.

Think that covers most things but will check out with the guru if there is another problem causing this.

Please put as link back to the rule to which you are referring. If it is the old rules from Market Place they are no longer the rules.

As per the first post in this thread. We haven't actually set the exact rules yet, my preference is for there are no rules but:
Rules will be something like this.... Buyer beware. Seller beware.
Rules may be extended to read.: Add a Price - Location - Condition - Picture

I want almost zero involvement of the moderators and administrators. The old Market Place continually involved the mods and admins in conflicts with sellers and buyers and buyers and buyers, etc, etc. Also with a lot of added moderation because previous rules weren't adhered to, changing prices, adding and deleting items or pictures, closing threads for moderation, contacting sellers, marking sold, etc.

This is a service offered by Woodwork Forums to our members and nothing more. We will help out with anything that can't be done by the buyer or seller but other than that there will be no involvement.

Hope this sorts out a few of the queries and worries.

    Cheers - Neil

Whilst i personally don't like the new idea, i do have one technical problem with it.

I subscribed to what i thought was just the Metalworking-machinery and equipment section of the new marketplace, but it seems i can only subscribe to the whole thing, not just one section. Can we just subscribe to one section only?

Is it possible to opt out of the email side of this?, I have already received 13 emails today. I would prefer just to keep manually monitoring the 'Auction', and with the 3 hr rule in place I think email notification is superfluous.

Thanks DJ. A bid successful or otherwise doesnt seem to trigger a subscription to the thread as i can still choose to subscribe to the thread. My example is the widget thread where i have bid but am not subscribed. Now every bid since mine triggers an email.

I've removed to receive emails from Admin in my settings as I also don't want 15 emails to see that others have made a bid. This may solve it.

    Sorry folks...

I am aware of the subscription problems and Steven was made aware of this via Ueee's post during discussions yesterday and again today. There are still a number of glitches that we couldn't or can't reproduce over in the testing site.

Working on them but currently waiting on info from the developers to a handful of problems. This may take a few day as there are a number of them to be fixed and the program is encrypted to stop us from doing our own fixes. If we do we lose support or warranties.

    Cheers - Neil

For the time being, stick a filter on your email to place any posts with a title containing "New Highest bid" into a junk folder.

Default Thanks for a great but time consuming marketplace.

I was a bit inclined to not like this but I completely understand why it is being done.
I would like to thank the Mods for the tremendous amount of time they have put in with the old maketplace.
I still have quite a bit of stuff to sell off and am more than happy to give the auctions a try.

    Peter.
Seems to have worked as I only got the automatic email confirming my bid and the email accepting my bid but no emails regarding the next bid made.

Will reinstate this facility when a permanent fix is done, but meanwhile this seems okay.

My preference is to buy at the stated price and negotiate payment with the seller. I have been 'bitten' by Paypal and I have an issue with them that is current. I won't be buying or selling anything under the new e bay like system, sorry. I suppose the changes were necessary for the reasons Neil gave but I'm disappointed.
