You can also pay with credit card using the PayPal thing and if the seller allows it in their ad you can also pay by EFT, Direct Deposit, Cheque, Postal Order, Cash and Wire Transfer for international. However the only payment method that has the ability to stop an auction is payment using PayPal or PayPal with a credit card. All other payments are off line from the forums and the seller must be contacted for details and asked to stop the sale whilst you pay which he/she may not do until payment is confirmed.
Hope this makes sense. PayPal is probably the safest way of paying on line today.

Thanks for clearing that up, Neil.
My preference will be to only look at items for a set price (no e baying) and look to see that the seller offers direct deposit or one of those other options other than PayPal.
Sellers please take note.

OK we finally have a fix for that problem with the search box now above the navigation bar.
If you can't see the Advanced Search link (should be below the search box) Try holding down shift and click on refresh. This should fix that as it's a cache problem that needs that hard refresh to respond.
We are working on putting some of the tabbed forums into a dropdown from the Forum tab which will also free up a bit more realestate across the top Navigation Bar.

Working now on Tapatalk link is at the top of the TABBED FORUMS FOR TAPATALK - For mobile use only section.
May need to be loaded a couple of times or refreshed to get the new menu for that section out of cache.
Also works with the default mobile skin which should load automatically if you don't have Tapatalk or if you do a Google search for the forums without Tapatlak being used.

I too am finding the same - my error is "Oops ..... Network error. Refresh to retry"
Just as a side note (I haven't tried creating a dummy auction as there seems to be enough already) ..... is the auction period preset or can it be reduced?
Most of the ones I have seen have been set at 2 weeks and just by looking at the listings so far they quickly drop down the list out of mind (even some on the last page have 3 days still to go). Given the closing time extends when last minute bids are placed I just wonder if it would be better to set the auction period to a week to help maintain interest in the item and push the sales through a little quicker.
Other than that I think the auctions are a good ideaNow proudly sponsored by Binford Tools. Be sure to check out the Binford 6100 - available now at any good tool retailer.
