See ya Steve. Take care, and don't get your wings caught in any machinery.
Cheers

To a gentleman who found joy in long thin whispy wood shavings - may you make many in your journey to better times and places.
Rest in peace dear friend.
Sadly I never met you in person but the acquaintence has been a pleasure and your emails and words always considerate, generous and with thought.Cheers

Fare thee well Steve.
There was a young boy called Wyatt
Who was awfully quiet
And then one day
He faded away
Because he overused White

Farewell Steve,
I'm sorry I didn't make the effort to catch up with you that time I was in East Bentleigh. The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

You will all be pleased to know there was a very good turnout at the funeral. The service was excellent, with Rob (Wood Borer) and giving eulogies. Steve's co-workers at Telstra had a fair turnout and spoke well about his role there too.
He took with him a bunch of wispy plane shavings and a forum cap (onya Gumby, nice thought).
A special mention and thank you goes to Himzol who drove over from Adelaide, also GRA, Ozwinner, Neil (for the drinks!), , WoodBorer, Grahame (Professional Woodworking Supplies), Scooter, Gumby, Sturdee, Waldo and DJstimber.

Rest in peace Steve.

as Groggy said, it was a good turn out and a fitting tribute. Woodwork was obviously a large part of his life.
Wood Borer did a fabulous job, as did who read out a list of all those members who contributed the condolence thread.
We had a toast back at the pub on behalf of all forum members.
A sad time but life goes on.
Pics posted for those who couldn't be there.

(I think that's right, not sure about Steve or his forum identity. PM me and I'll change it)If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

'twas a fitting send off...
Steves funeral service highlighted (for me at least) how lucky we all are to have this great ability to congregate in cyberspace, to become friends, to share ideas, jokes and to at least try solving the problems of the world.
Steve's contribution to woodworking will live on, long after todays sadness leaves us, we will remember his passion for 'getting it right' his dogged determination and his gentle ways.
When read the list of forumites that have sent condolences from around the world, it really shows how we are all united through our hobby, and how that hobby has become more enjoyable, knowing we shared it with a guy like Steve.
A moment to thank Neil and the UBeaut forum team for their generosity, and forsight in giving woodworkers around the world this great communication medium, how else would most of us, have got to know Steve?
RIP A B....
Regards
The Woodworker

Twas indeed a good sendoff to a mate.
Fitting words well spoken by & WB, and by Kai from Telstra.
Good to see the rollup from the forums.
Thanks to Neil for springing for the drinks; and for the ringtone levity
Hope everyone got home safe & without incident.
Cheers....................Sean
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
