Here are some pictures from the funeral, I hope no one is offended.
The turn out was good, I counted about 30 of Steves friends who could make it.
The service itself was a non religious one.

Nice touch with the wood shavings and cap guys.
Like to echo Graeme (GWhat) comments and thank all associated with providing the forum for allowing us to have a place to meet and chat and find mates all over the world.
It's almost 8 so off to open a red and raise a glass to Steve all the woodies gone before.
You guys rock.

bit spooky thinking about yesterday, randomly checked out wikipedias home page - the picture of the day today is an old bassoon (mentioning some dating back to 1699)...

Steve was a special guy indeed, special enough for Himzol to travel all the way from South Australia to attend, Im sure Steve would have appreciated it.

P.S
Just re-read the post.
I didnt mean to slight anyone who couldnt make it.

G'day,
RIP Steve.
Rob, I meant to thank you at the pub, but forgot. A very big thanks to you for all the time and effort you put into helping give Steve a send off.
Tonight I'll have a quite tawny port.
Missed but never to be forgotten.

For all of the guys that managed to attend you should be very proud of yourselves and you have managed to uphold the credibility of the forum. I didn't know Steve but from what I have read over the past few weeks he seemed like a quite guy, but I am sure that he would have appreciated the excellent turnout.
To all that have made the funeral as successful as it was (if you can say that about a funeral) I am sure the forum would join me in a heart felt thanks.

Obviously the funeral wasn't a happy occasion because goodbyes rarely are joyous occasions but I felt quite proud being with such good mates seeing one of our fallen mates off.
Thanks all for turning up, it was good to catch up.
Groggy, what happened to your post requesting people to bring shavings in blue plastic bags - it seems that I was one of the few who read it.- Wood Borer

Thanks to you guys who went to see Steve off, I wish I could have been there myself.
Strange that as I was reading this I had wet eyes and a smile on my face. Nice to see that so many turned out for such a sad occasion.

I guess the drive home with the oncoming lights and dodging the roos confused me a little.
