25th Anniversary Timber & Working With Wood Show
U-Beaut will be at the Show again this year for the 25th time.
Yes that's right this will be our 25th year of doing these shown in Melbourne.
We are on Stand number K13. The forum stand is right next door to us on K14
We will once again be showcasing and demonstrating the entire range of our own Aussie made finishes, including our unique range of Friction Polishes for woodturners, Shellac products, our unique Hard Shellac, waxes and the amazing EEE-Ultra Shine cut and polish wax, Non Toxic Water Dyes, Hide Glue, Polish Reviver that really works. Food Safe oil, the Original Rotary Sander for wood turners, and more.
DEMONSTRATIONS:
We will be running continual on demand demonstrations throughout the duration of the show, along with 2 structured demonstrations each day and one hands on session:
- Flat surfaces finishing
- Finishing for woodturners
- Plus one “hands on/have a go” session on flat finishing each afternoon.
Participants for hands on session must book in advance as these sessions are limited to 4 participants only. Others are welcome to look on and learn, ask questions etc as the session progresses. Bookings for the sessions can be made at our stand on the day.
Structured Demonstrations and times:
11:00am Flat Surface finishing:
Demonstration on how to get an amazing, professional looking finish, in no time flat. Includes: sanding, using a sealer, applying a finish, cutting, and buffing to make your finish stand out above the rest. Also includes info on Random Orbital Sander, abrasives, best brushes to use, buffs, even what sort of rags (material) work best.
Plus, Questions & Answers.
12:30pm Woodturning Finishes
How to get the most amazing finish on turned work in a matter of seconds. Includes Using a Rotary Sander on bowls, using Friction Polishes and Abrasive Wax to bring up an astounding, long lasting, durable finish in a matter of minutes. Plus, Questions & Answers.
2:15pm (14:15) Come & Try Session:
Have a hands on go at basic flat surface finishing.
Use a Random Orbital Sander to sand a piece of timber through the grades of abrasive to give a brilliant base for applying a finish. Have a go at applying a finish using a good brush, then Cut n Polish using Swansdown Mop to buff your work to a brilliant finish.
3pm (15:00) Raffle Draw
