Hoping I'm not the only one driving this...

    anyway....

I thought this was good....worth looking at....photo galley from the clearvue site.
    http://www.gallery2.clearvuecyclones.com/main.php

Pictures of clearvue cyclone setups in workshops. Lots of good ideas that I'm sure we could use. Think I saw AlB's collection bin photo in there.

most have probably already seen them I spose. Just noticed them now.

I wanted to put this post up incase you can't get a group buy organized. It is for a single CV1800 unit with a 5hp 3phase Leeson motor, 16" Blower and 2 Wynn Filters.

I have just checked an alternative shipping method. UPS has three divisions: UPS, UPS Supply Chain Solutions (which used to be Emery Air Freight) and UPS Freight. Anyway, I checked with UPS Supply Chain Solutions and here's what they have. For less than 500# we can do an Air shippment (3-5 days) to the airport in Melbourne for 647.00 USD. That would include the following:
CV1800 Combo, 3 phase motor and 2 Filters
The prices would be as follows in USD:
    CV1800 Combo with 5hp Leeson 3 phase motor .....1045.00
    Add 80.00 for a 16" Blower housing & Impeller......... 80.00
    2 - Wynn 9L300BL filters 85.00 ea........................ 190.00
    Sub Total .......................................................1315.00
    Shipping ......................................................... 647.52
Total to the Air Port in Melbourne ........................1962.52

On top of that price, as mentioned previously in this thread, there would also be your duties and taxes.

Buy a Clear Vue Cyclone for 1655.00

That can be the heading for the new thread.

We have verified that our Leeson 5hp 3 phase motor will work on your 415 V 50 hz current. If we can get enough orders (5 minium) to make an ocean shippment, the costs are as follows in USD.

    CV1800 LH Combo with Leeson 5HP 3phase motor & 16" impeller 1125.00
2 Wynn 9L300BL filters 190.00 this includes shipping to our shop from Wynn so we can make an ocean shippment.
    Shipping 340.00
    Total 1655.00 USD

For those of you who want to purchase a unit without the motor and get one over there, the cost would be 200.00 less or 1455 USD total.

    Ed,

You need to make it clear which currency you are dealing in when you put up the new post. I'd amend it to USD$amount to save any confusion, unless you are dealing with the Aussie $

I know i use it alot, but i'm really stuck without it.

In case anyone following this hasn't noticed (like me for a day, just bookmarked this one) there is another thread started

Hi everyone. I have read all the posts on this thread and the technical one. I have learned a lot and I am convinced that I need to have an effective dust collection system. I have ditched my idea about using the shop vac with a mini to do the job.

I have however fallen into the category of wanting to be told "this one". There are just too many possible options and if I want to raise the money for a proper cyclone, then I have to present a convincing case to the financial controller. Preferably financially based. I have a single garage size workshop. I have a tablesaw. I will no doubt add to that in the future. I am convinced about the 6" ducting and I will need to enlarge the port on my saw.

I think I can get enough CFM with a 3hp motor I source here. I do need to keep my purchase to a minimum.

What size fan and housing and what size cyclone do I need. Please just give me the mail.

ALso I am confused about the shipping costs. Will the order actually be air freighted? If not, then won't the shipping be less? Also, will the shipping be split across all the orders? The price outline is for a single order.

Sorry if these questions have been aswered but the thread is long and detailed. I do need to firm up the price a bit because otherwse I can't make the case.

    Thanks

    Steve
