Hi Ed,
Thanks for offering to have a go at this, like others said from memory some members here did a great job with that Bessey clamp order a while back. If the details can be sorted I think you'll get interest - I'll put my hand up for a mini.
Cheers.____________________________________________

Well,
So far we have made little progress on getting shipping quotes. Hopefully, we might have something tomorrow. However, I thought I would throw out some numbers to see what the interest might be.
We can ship the Mini CV06 cyclones via the US Postal service. Also, we can package 2 in a box and the shipping cost would be 33.00 ea. If we can sell at least 20 mini's, we would sell them for 125.00 ea, including shipping. That is a good deal no matter how you slice it. We normally sell them for 120.00 + 65.00 shipping = 185.00. So, if you guys get an order up for 20 mini's, that's the deal. One payment, one order. We can ship to different addresses, 2/address, but I don't want to deal with 20 separate orders at that price.
Next, to the larger units, I believe that leaving the motor off would be the best choice for all concerned. If you can get up an order for 5 units (CV1800), we would give you a price of 800.00 ea + filters + shipping. If you can get an order up for 10 units, we could give you a price of 750.00 + filters + shipping. Rick Wynn is hoping to get the shipping cost in the area of 300/ unit. Using that as a number for now, the total cost of the unit would be 800 + 150 (filters) + 300 (shipping) = 1250.00 without a motor. If you get the quantity to 10 units, the cost would be 1200.00 without the motor. This is all dependent on the shipping cost and as I said, we should know something tomorrow. Also, we can supply a motor plate to fit your metric motors, but I don't what to have to make 5 or 10 different motor plates. Someone on your end needs to investigate which motor you want to use, settle on it and then we'll supply motor plates and bushings for that motor.

I tried contacting the leeson guy, but only got to talk to someone in the office.
The company does other compressor duty motors at $675 for a 3hp.
Nobody responded to e-mails about their range of motors and prices so maybe someone else can come up with some options.
Larger than 3 hp are avaliable but are very expensive mainly because they don't bring many in.
I suggest everybody interested have a look at their options and we may be able to order the same mounting option motors to make it all easier
Maybe we can split it into 3 groups
-3hp single phase
-5hp single phase
-5hp three phase
Ed, maybe you could think how much extra to do the motor plates separately, or is it something we can do ourselves? -
I presently have an 18" cyclone with a 3hp motor/14" fan and it does suck!
From the amps i'm drawing i think a 16" fan would be safe on a 3hp but each would have to check the draw themselves (i picked up an extremely heavy duty capacitor start compressor motor that was surplus old stock for $250, but it is 10" longer than the 3hp on my table saw so that comes off the height of the sawdust bin)
If anyone hasn't had a look at Ed's site yet please do that so you are familier with what we're looking at, and i'd recommend looking at the medical risks page on Bill Pentz's site

Hugh,
It would not be a problem for us to supply a motor plate without the center hole or motor bolt holes. You could easily cut out a clearance hole to fit your motor and drill four mounting holes in the plate. This might be the easiest solution for everyone.

I would be interested in the CV1800, provided we sort out the motor.
I get confused everytime the arguments starts up about home workshop dust extraction, so I need to know the motor -Make and model, not options.
3HP Single phase.
Thanks for thinking of us Ed.Scally

Hi Ed, Had a look at your new site today. Bit slicker than the old one. Do you sell a stand-alone cyclone that will fit into a system utilising an existing dust extractor (3hp)? ie: Using the dust extractor suction.
Also what rods do you use when welding the PETG?

Yep Prozac thats a good idea, supply the cyclone with a 8"(or so)outlet on top so we can just use our current DE.

Hmm. Is customs duty going to be applicable here if it comes in one container or carton? Even one at $US800 plus $US150 is over the $A1000 limit on todays exchange rate. Customs might turn a blind eye to one but not 10 surely!? - I don't know just asking.

Good point. We can do paperwork to indicate separate sales for the shippment, but I don't know anything about your rules so that needs to be checked out at your end before we have 3 or 4 skids of cyclones & assorted pieces parts and a 1000.00 customs bill that noone can pay.......

Each parcel would have to be sent seperatly to avoid cusoms duties and gst. They must be under AUS$1000.00 This in turn is going to increase your shipping costs.
Cheapest way is to send the whole consignment and be prepared to pay the extra costs.
It is a matter of finding out total consignment freight divivde up amongst each parcel then what amount extra it will be for single parcels.
Can get messy either way.Jim Carroll
