Yup. Ended up buying "rather more than 1".

Anyway Wolfy, it's not you I'm worried about - I'm just glad your wife is a 1000k away!
Yeah more than 1 in the end and a couple more would be nice ...

I'm going to ask the mods to ban you Mr FenceFurniture - you should not be allowed to continually put temptation in the way of us mere tool junkies

I'm in for a large float

and (highly) probably a square and a 45 degree from Mr Clenton, 8" and 6" respectively

Will you be needing batteries for the accessories? If so, I'd advise rechargable.

Default A plug for HNT Gordon and Harold and Saxon

I was at the Maleny wood show today talking to Terry and Trent who were I believe there demonstrating for the first time. The show is getting better each year in my opinion, and magnificent weather always helps.

Can I just say that it was great to try out Terry's dado planes in particular. I only hope that we get enough demand to ensure that they get included in the buy now. They are simple and logical to use, with a minimum of setup. I don't own any of his planes yet, but after today in particular, I will soon enough.

Trent's chisels are something else. They are pleasing on the eye, and have better balance in my opinion than other modern brands I've tried. Although it was the first time I'd seen them in the flesh today, I have no doubts about now proceeding with a full set as part of this group buy.

These guys work is of the highest standard, and in today's mindset and market, it's a credit to them.

I have seen Terry at the Brisbane show in the past, not sure if Trent will be there this year, but I cant recommend enough going and seeing them if it wasn't on your radar.

    Brett,

I may need to be corrected however he had a set of Ultimax (these were sublime), a few of the contractors chisels (which are also amazing, too good in my opinion - or maybe I just think my vintage Stanleys that I use for clunking would be jealous), and one or maybe two other mortice or firmer chisels (not a pigsticker though).

He had a couple of tool rolls, but they were not those that will be in this buy - the new ones are 'better' he said.

A leather strop was also there.

He teased with a vintage Titan saying the cabinet range will more 'like this'. Couldn't picture it myself cause I don't think any 'example' that isn't the real deal will do them justice.

    Nick
