    Hi John

Well I've always had the end of May in mind, and even though little new interest has been expressed in the past week the cut off will probably stay that way as all the toolmakers will all be going to the Brisbane show this weekend and will obviously take some time to recover from that (and the Maleny show). Therefore there is little point in closing it sooner anyway. There will probably also be members who will look at the tools at the Brisbane show, and then make their decisions. NOTE: Harold & Saxon chisels will NOT be at the Brisbane show.

Furthermore, there may well be people waiting on the pictures of the H&S plane blade and new chisel before deciding on what they would like. I've just spoken to Trent (returning from the weekend show) and the plane blade has not yet returned from the laser engraver, and he hopes to have a picture of the chisel next week (it has to return from the heat treater and have the handle etc fitted, and then photographed).

Of course I don't know if there are members who have intentions and have not said as much yet.....so:

It would be a good idea to either post in here or send me a PM to say "yes, coming on board - still negotiating with the Finance Minister" or "just making some decisions on which way to go", etc, so that I have some idea.

Non-members can refer to post #79 for my email address. PDFs for the tool maker's offers are in post #109 (Cleton with pics is post # 158).

    Hi Brett,

Could you please put me down for an HNT Gordon gidgee aussie jack plane (TS blade)?

Thank you very much for organising the group buy, fantastic work.

    Brett,

Already being in the dog house....... can I add another 2x 3/8" chisels to the set that I had previously ordered?

So, the overall order is now:

A set of the 7 individual sizes, plus 2 extra at 3/8" = 9 chisels for 9 pockets in the roll.
    2x chisel rolls
HNT dado planes x2 (likely 1/4" and 3/4") if they are included.

The only question I need to answer now is - do I need a set of side rebates....?

    Nick

Seems to me that the two Nicks need a lobbyist to approach their Ministers. If you can get me the Ministerial email addresses I'll see what I can do.

Chris Vesper has added a new longer blade to his Double Squares.

You can see it here. It is also now part of the existing Double Square Set.
