    Default Skin if my pearlys

    Thanks Brett,

Much appreciated, and glad to help out the group - my motives have nothing to do with me wanting some exceptional tools, only the altruistic desire to help my fellow man! (I'm trying to type with a straight face!)

    Cheers and beers,

    Muzz

If you're having difficulty with that method, you could try using your fingers.

Wow, thats better. Fewer nose bleeds and less spelling errors, you could be on to something here Bushmiller. I may take a leap of faith and go one step further - I once started to try and play the guitar by ear......

    Exclamation Last orders please

LAST CHANCE TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR THE HAND TOOLS GROUP BUY. IT WILL CLOSED OFF AT THE END OF THIS WEEKEND (Sunday 16th June).

If you have expressed an interest and I haven't emailed you a spreadsheet for confirmation then I have mistakenly overlooked you, so please alert me to that fact, and we'll sort it out.

I have attached a modified version of the Order Form as there were a couple of formula errors in the totalling and postage previously (the number of permutations for correct calculation is ah, rather high, even though it might appear to be simple). This new sheet may still throw up the odd error (depending on your particular combination) but I always assess them manually and make any adjustments, and then send back to you for confirmation.

The postage costs that I have allowed for are over-estimates to cover any packaging required, and different batches of posting out the tools (chisels will be separate). Where possible I will be posting to clusters of members who are nearby to each other, thus saving on postage. Refunds of unused $$ will be issued at the end.

    DELIVERY TIMES:
All tools except chisels should be ready for delivery in about 4-6 weeks time.

The chisels have been rather more popular than anyone imagined, and so there is quite a long run to do. Trent will be doing one size at a time, but the vast majority have been ordered as the set in any case. He anticipates delivery in 4-5 months. If individual sizes become available, and if that will satisfy an order, then they will be despatched earlier.

Cheers, and thanks to all the participants, and to Ubeaut for getting behind this one.
    Brett

Orders for this group buy are now closed.

It is my intention to place the orders with the various suppliers in a few days, once the stragglers have deposited their funds.

Now I could have chosen to say this privately, but if you pay your deposit you'll stand a much stronger chance of getting them (got rasps & files).

    Default Update

Just a quick update on progress:

    • All but a couple of deposits have come in.
    • MCW paid in full, and bench vises being posted tomorrow, the rest coming to me.
    • HNT will have everything ready end of the first week in July. Deposit paid to him. Bushmiller's Jointer will posted to him direct from HNT, for logisitical reasons (jointers enjoy being posted by themselves).
    • Colen Clenton will have everything by mid July. Deposit paid to him.
    • Chris Vesper has everything in stock, and will deliver to me after the second round of deposits happen in a couple of weeks.
    • H&S deposit will be paid to Trent tomorrow. Anticipated delivery time 4-5 months as the run of chisels is "a little larger" than we thought it would be. He will be working on one size at a time. Plane blades and Chisel rolls for those without chisels will be delivered to me mid July.

Re Chisel rolls: They are normally natural colour, but you can have black for an additional $10. Let me know asap if you want black, otherwise they will default to natural.
