I'll come back to you in more detail - bloody starving right now! In the interim, at this stage it's Myall only but it may be flexible depending on the total order size, or Trent might say "you can have "x" timber for $x more.

You weren't expecting this.....Stanley replacement Blades from Harold & Saxon!
STANLEY REPLACEMENT BLADES FROM HAROLD & SAXON - at 30% DISCOUNT (Note: these are not listed on the website...yet)
Well, well
Due credit should go to Johnredl for sparking this one off - and one thing leads to another....
As it turns out, Harold & Saxon also do replacement blades for Stanley Planes. These are made to Trent's usual impeccable standards, and he used Academy Blades as his benchmark (Paul Williams is now retired...but watch this space for his remaining stock of less common blades):
- HSS M2
- Both sides are mirror finish and THE BACK IS FLAT (how about that Ern?)
- Cryogenically treated and tempered 4 times
- Hardness of 61-63 Rc for easier resharpening (Sigma Power Select II are probably the ideal stones, or 3M Diamond Sheets from Lee Valley)
- Hollow ground bevel, honed and ready to use
- All blades are available in 2.6mm, 3mm and 3.5mm thickness (no price diff). 3mm is his standard thickness
TO THE SHARPENING LEGENDS: I don't want to kick off yet another debate in this thread about which stone, but please feel free to post a quick link to any relevant threads.
Trent has some already in stock (see below), and others will be made depending upon our demand. He also tells me that they actually do fit the plane they were designed for......
He's getting one laser etched atm, and will then send it to me for photographing. Should have a pic to post in about 10 days.
THE BLADES IN THE RANGE (all prices are net, plus postage):
Stanley #2 (40mm) $59.50
Stanley #3 (45mm) $63.00
Stanley #4 (50mm) $66.50
Stanley #4½<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:PunctuationKerning/> <w:ValidateAgainstSchemas/> <w:SaveIfXMLInvalid>false</w:SaveIfXMLInvalid> <w:IgnoreMixedContent>false</w:IgnoreMixedContent> <w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText>false</w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText> <wompatibility> <wreakWrappedTables/> <w:SnapToGridInCell/> <w:WrapTextWithPunct/> <wseAsianBreakRules/> <wontGrowAutofit/> </wompatibility> <wrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</wrowserLevel> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState="false" LatentStyleCount="156"> </w:LatentStyles> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 10]> <style> /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} </style> <![endif]-->(60mm) $70.00

Stanley #5½(60mm) $70.00
Stanley #6 (60mm) $70.00
Stanley #7 (60mm) $70.00
QUANTITIES AVAILABLE:
50mm for #4 and #5 - 25 blades in stock
All the rest - "a few of each"
It would be advisable to post "I'll have a #x, if available", and also specify what thickness you want, because I will treat it as first in best dressed on the existing stock. As with the new Market place rules, you MUST post in here - not by PM or email - so that everybody can see. As Basil Fawlty says - "No riff raff!"
NON-MEMBERS: You may send me an email (see my next post), and I'll put a post in here to reflect your blade order. BETTER STILL - join us!

What - no mirror polished on all faces, sharper than a tack, incredibly tough socket chisels, at a massive discount? Bloody wuss.
A quote from Sawdust Maker in the Liogier Rasps thread:
Will you blokes stop doing tool reviews such as this - Tool junkies like myself will not be able to kick the habit
I don't need a couple of fancy rasps
