Calling for Volunteers!!

The Timber & Working with Wood Show will be held in Brisbane on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 20-22 May 2011. I'm much more organised this year and will be there for the whole three days.

I love coming to these to shows, I love talking timber and tools, and I love meeting Fellow Forumites, both current members and prospective members. I've found that one of the best ways to do this, is to be on the Forum Stand at the Show.

I can't be on the stand all the time over the 3 days, there's just too much timber and tools calling for my attention so I'm asking for volunteers to help out at the Forum Stand for two hours at a time. We need a minimum of 2 people on the stand at all times, preferably 3, if possible. I haven't heard yet how the stand area will be set up, but I'm hoping it will be very similar to last year's set up, i.e. backing on to Ubeaut's stand and the Forum Lounge area, with a computer set up showing the Forum online.

The Forumites who helped out last year had a heap of fun talking with each other, talking with anyone who was interested in the Forums and watching the Festool Demos across the way. (hmm, must remember to bring a mop to wipe up drool ) It isn't hard, in fact, it's a whole lot of fun.

Last year we worked out entry for Forum Stand Assistants. I will post more on this when I have it worked out for this year.

Free Entry for Forum Stand Volunteers

Anyone who volunteers to attend the Forum Booth will receive Free Entry into the Brisbane Timber & WWW Show. Generally, it works like this. When you arrive, ring me and I'll come out and escort you in.

yep, I would be up for helping out again. Had fun last year. Can't be firm on the day or time as yet but I am hoping I will be available for the friday.

For those who are thinking about it but are a bit unsure, stick your hand up and help out. You won't regret it. You get to meet nice people and add value to the forum.

I think mkypenturner had himself down for Friday and Saturday but you have him for Saturday & Sunday...might have to confirm those days with mkypenturner
