    would like to invite you to a fund raising social demonstration day.
    This day will be open to any clubs or individual who wish to come along.

    Just out of curiosity (and 'cos we felled a largish gum today ) what orientation was the blank you turned for the hat? Spindle or bowl?

    Bowl. For best effect the timber has to have the grain running through the centre of the headstock.

    Hope that makes sense.

    I also had a very enjoyable day and would like to thank Charlie and Chris for the efforts they took to host such a successfull event. Thanks to maroondah and all of the demonstrators as well.
