Carba-Tec Sydney
To all Carba-Tec Sydney Customers:
We’d like to announce that from Tuesday October 4, 2011, Carba-Tec Sydney will no longer be operating as an independent licensee store. From October 4 it will be owned and operated by Carba-Tec Pty Ltd and will be directed from our Brisbane head office. David and Honor Croaker have directed Carba-Tec Sydney since 2004. During this time, they’ve done an excellent job of providing consistently high levels of customer service to Carba-Tec customers in Sydney and throughout New South Wales. We’re very grateful to them for all of their hard work in supporting Carba-Tec over the years.
They have decided to move back to Brisbane to be closer to family. Also, David will be joining our Brisbane crew where he will be working in a buying role with our procurement and purchasing team.
The faces at the sales counter in the Sydney store will be the same - all current staff at Carba-Tec Sydney will be continuing on with us. We’re looking forward to working with them as we strive to continue improving our products and services to you.

PS - Please note that Carba-Tec Sydney will be closed on Saturday October 1 as well as the public holiday on Monday October 3 for stock take. We will reopen on Tuesday the 4th.

Wow, I hope all goes well for the Croakers and the CT crew. I've been pretty happy with the service over the years
Quick question - will this have any bearing on the sales that have often been different between the stores, or the ordering of products?
Cheers,
Dave...but together with the coffee civility flowed back into him

Ahhhhh....that explains the running down of stock levels over the past few months (as discussed in another thread).
All the best to David and Honor for their new life in the sun !

It does explain all the gaps on the shelves and in the drawers behind the counter.
When you cannot get 2 Vermec/Vicmarc 30x3.5 inserts, there has to be a reason. Nothing negative about the bloke behind the counter or the 3 others that tried to find the inserts, they all tried their best and were apologetic that I had to walk away empty handed.
So I'll wander over to Auburn next time I'm in the area after October and have a look see.Pat
