Vegetable Ivory Nuts
I am looking for appropriate machines for cutting vegetable ivory nuts into slices. I would be grateful advice on what machines could be used for this purpose.
Nuts are round hence normal circular saws wont help.
You can email me [email protected]. For supplies of vegetable ivory nuts visit http://www.eximpacific.co.uk
Thanks

I'd say a band saw would be the go. you would probably want a jig to hold the nut & save the fingers.

Soundman,
Thanks for you your advise. Do you have a suggestion for a power tool and jig supplier in Brisbane?

Carbatec is my favorite store at the moment. their once a year sale starts friday. Timber & working with wood show is the following weekend.
Jigs are usualy purpose made by the user. But if you need some help help may easily be found.
se also gregory's
and a number of others.
