Default Container Of Memories Retrospective Exhibition

On Thursday the 8th of July, the Furniture/Wood workshop will be hosting a Container of Memories Exhibition at the Australian National University School of Art Gallery, at Ellery Crescent Acton, Canberra ACT. The gallery is circled in Red in the attached image.

This is a free event that will run for ten days, and will showcase the work of alumni and current students of Rodney Hayward, the retiring head of the Furniture/Wood workshop.

The theme for the exhibition is container of memories and it will be an opportunity to see, a wide range of responses to the brief.

It will also be my first public exhibition. You can follow the development of my repsonce on my blog Kleinwerk.

The exhibition should start around 6 pm. With speeches, snacks, and the wine flowing. I will be around before hand in the workshop so feel free to drop in and we can have a chat.

    Look forward to seeing you.

Thanks. I'd like to, but I don't think I'll be able to make the exhibition. It's a fertile theme to work from, it'll be good to see the different individual results. I like your artist statement in your blog and considering your words and the exhibition theme your in for a great journey. I'll get back to your blog soon as I can, I couldn't read anymore words at the moment my eyes have gone bung from the book I'm reading. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the exhibition if you don't mind. Good on you

Looks really interesting. Hope you can post some pics for us, or link to some official pics when the exhibition is on.

I had a little read on one of the links there. Pretty heavy stuff but very interesting. The stuff on sandpaper was great. Thank you for the link.
