Well i wasnt there today but tomorrow i will be there and i keep teling myself i'm not ugly or tall.

It's the rest of you that have a problem. Therre does seem to be a lot of SHORT people in the world. There was a song about that if i remember, Something about no reason to live i think.

Great timing , missed you by 5 minutes. Bought a few things from PWS and Carrolls and left about $ 200 lighter.

On the way back to the car stopped into the small tool shop on the corner and managed to finally buy a replacement shield for my facemask. Been after one for years and tried many shops to no avail. The lady was willing to sell the full mask quite cheaply but also had the replacement even cheaper. Definitely worth going.

I know. I got Robert Goulet to sing it to my wife when he was performing at the Swagman Restaurant many, many years ago. Great memories of those days.

But the song continues also about tall people also not having a reason to live and there should only be normal people. Like me.

Speaking for myself I am extremely good looking, suave and sophisticated.
I am also very modest, just ask me.

Funnily enough, as I went along this morning, I looked around at all the new faces and thought to my self I should have stapled a label displaying 'Woodwould' to my forehead in the hopes someone would recognise the name from these forums and say hello.

But then I thought it might have the opposite effect and I would be totally ignored or even set upon by a couple of members!

It's amazing how many familiar faces, Forumites and otherwise, I saw while hanging around between the timber and Jim Carroll's... and how few I could attach a name to.

Didn't stop me from having the odd chat though.

I think I saw you, or another chap in a chair maneuvering behind Grahame from PWS when I was chatting to him. Drat, should have said g'day. Oh well, next time.

Had a good snoop around and got some excellent advice on my saw from the guys at Woodworker's Warehouse. I learnt something about setting it up I had somehow missed initially (another cam under the sliding table) . That alone made the trip worthwhile.

I caught up with Tea Lady, Waldo, Skew, Jim, u and Beaut, bought a few raffle tickets and a Wixey gauge. Plus got some advice from Jim on skew chisel bevels and sharpening. Just wish I could have got there sooner with more money (story of my life really ).

I went in with Waldo, we got there just after 13:00 so we must've just missed you.

FWIW, my sole purchase was another tub of EEE to replace the lot I let escape from the jar during that heatwave. It was soooo hard not to reach for the wallet at every table I passed... [sigh]

This is so not fair.

Just getting into woodwork and I was all set to visit the TWW show last year until I was struck down with gastro for the weekend.

So I see this mini show and figure it will be a good day, but today the car's fan dies and I'm not willing to risk driving it all the way to Braeside.

I'm cursed!
